Registration

Basketball runs all year and is spilt into two seasons.
Winter Season generally starts the first week of term two (April / May) and goes through until mid-September.
Summer Season commences in October and runs through until April the following year, with breaks over the school holidays.

Games are normally played each Saturday, either Morley Recreation Centre or The Rise in Maylands

Training sessions are generally held once a week at various times and venues in the local area.
Coaches are required for many age groups. All coaches are required to have a current Working With Children check. Coaches are given all relevant equipment, training and support.
Contact the Club President for more information about registering as a coach.

Registration Fees are set each season, and cover:
Club Administration
Weekly Training
Player Insurance
Season Windup
Game Fees

Players must also pay the BWA Annual Fee which is separate to Club Fees.

KidSport is a government initiative that enables eligible children aged 5–18 years to receive financial assistance towards Club Fees.

NOTE: Bedford Basketball Club falls under Bedford Districts Youth Club for KidSport.

Uniforms
Club Singlets provided on a season by season basis to each team.

Players must wear Bedford Shorts which can be ordered at time of Registration

Reversible training singlets are available and are recommended for training (but not compulsory).
All under 12 and above players must wear a mouthguard.

Basketball is a very popular sport, and teams will be limited for the upcoming season.

Places in our teams are offered to current players first and then to children on our waitlist.

The number of teams we can make each season depends on the number of coaches we have, so if you are keen for your child to play, please consider coaching.
